Getting started with Door's Open is quick. Head to the signup page and you'll walk through three simple steps to create your place.

Step 1: Name Your Place

Give your place a name — this is what your family and friends will see when they log in. It could be something like "The Lake House" or "Beach Cottage."

You'll also set a URL identifier, which becomes part of your place's web address (e.g., doorsopen.com/the-lake-house). This is auto-generated from your place name, but you can customize it. Only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens are allowed.

Step 2: Create Your Account

Enter your name, email, and a password. This will be the admin account for your place — you'll be able to add other users and manage settings later. You'll also need to accept the terms and conditions before continuing.

Step 3: Confirm & Get Started

Review the pricing information, then confirm to create your place. You'll be automatically logged in and taken to your homepage, and a welcome tour will walk you through the basics.

Once your place is created, you can start inviting family and friends by adding them as users from the Manage Place section. See Inviting People for details.
